Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks has been heard in his new single titled Ozumba Mbadiwe taking some shots at Burna Boy- who proudly bears the moniker African Giant.

Ozumba Mbadiwe was purposely released to advance the End SARS protest after the infamous demonstration which turned bloody last year was held its first anniversary this week. A line in the song has however overshadowed the End SARS theme as fans say it’s a dig at Burna Boy.

These conspiracy theorists believe the verse is perhaps furtherance to when Burna Boy openly challenged any ‘worthy Nigerian’ musician to a battle back in 2020.

“I don’t really know what a hit battle is but I’m willing to go toe to toe with ANY worthy challenger. Lyrically , musically , physically. However they want it,” he had said.

In reaction, Reekado Banks, said he was willing to take up the challenge as he wrote; “@Burnaboy I’m game that energy let’s get it.”

But Burna retorted saying: “You know I got too much love for you bro. But didn’t you see wen I said “Worthy Challenger”? Reeky oooooo!!!

Well, it seems Reekado is still nursing that ambition of serving his colleague a cold dish which reflects in his new song. A part of the lyrics said; ”Well If You Think Say You Be Giant, You Be Giant For Your Pocket If You Only Fight For Your Pocket…”
