Asantewaa sparked mixed reactions within the entertainment industry after making such boastful claims in an interview on the United Showbiz segment aired on UTV.
She claims that irrespective of how musicians have mastered their crafts, they can never thrive with their songs on social media without the assistance of TikTokers in Ghana.
“It doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game, when you release the song it is no longer about the craft unless the song is being given to us, else you will have to jam to the song yourself”, she said.
In reaction to this, Mr. Logic who has been in support of the use of TikTok to promote songs stated that TikTokers are feeling too powerful but they do not wield the power to make songs trend and viral on social media.
He said that songs will always make hits with or without the help of TikTokers, hence the assertions made by Asantewaa hold no substance.
