Why you should not come here – Canada-based man warns Nigerians

An African man living in Canada warned his countrymen and other Africans who wish to relocate to foreign countries not to do so.

In a video he shared online, he those who are back home should stay where they are because those of them staying abroad are struggling to survive in the weather.

He showed the ennvironment which was covered in snow and revealed that everywhere has turned to ice block.

The man lamented about how they are animals put in a freezer and wondered if that is what people in Nigeria are determined to travel and experience.

He advised Africans to stay in their warm countries because it is better than Canada even though there are opportunities. He said the government uses tax to take back the money they make.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government recently said it is seeking ways to end the trend of Nigerians relocating abroad, noting that it intends to achieve this by ensuring gainful employment for citizens.

Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Henry Ikoh, made the statement while receiving the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organisation, Ms Deemah Yahya, in Abuja.

She paid the minister a courtesy visit in connection with the upcoming Digital Nigeria Day Conference.

According to Ikoh, FG intends to correct the trend through industrialisation and synergising with the DCO in the area of human capital development.

He said; “The synergy is what we require, capacity building is key and technology transfer is what Nigeria and Africa in particular needs at the moment so that the world can be a global village. We need to collaborate in all areas to ensure harmony.

”If we collaborate and synergise in the area of human capital development, it would guarantee industrialisation, when people are gainfully employed and moved out from poverty, then Africans and Nigerians would not be struggling to travel abroad because everything is here. We have all the raw materials; what we really require in terms of digitalisation is for us to cross fertilise ideas, train and retrain our people then things would be better.”

On her part, Yahya said the group was in Nigeria to understudy her digital ecosystem.

“We are very proud that Nigeria is a founding member of the Digital Corporation Organisation, which is a multilateral organisation that focuses on advancing the digital economy in member states. We represent 12 countries, from three continents, representing 600 million in population and $2 trillion in the GDP.”
