‘Why I Come to Ghana Almost Every Month’- American Comedian Michael Blankson
The construction of the school is funded by Blackson with assistance from Afrobeats star Fuse ODG, who has also helped with school construction projects with other stars including British rapper Stefflon Don and social media personality and activist Chaka Bars in Ghana, Jamaica, and the Democratic Republic of Congo through I Heart Africa to help raise money for the various projects to help children from impoverished areas receive a quality education without leaving the neighborhood where they grew up.
Back in October 2020, Blackson was spotted at the construction site together with some of the kids who he assured saying; “Next September you’ll have a school, OK?” said ODG to Face2Face Africa. “You’re standing in your classroom right now. School is coming very soon, OK? Uncle promise you. School is on its way.”
In this new development, he shared a video of the progress of the construction and said;
“This the main reason I’m in Ghana every other month is to make sure this project is done in time so these little children will have a place to learn. What should I name the school?” he wrote.
