Video: I did it out of pity – Hawker who shared money to prisoners in correctional service vehicle

A hawker who went viral after he was captured on camera giving out money to prisoners in a correctional service vehicle, has said that his gesture was out of pity.

In a recent chat, the young man said that he decided to do giveaway because he felt compassionate towards them as they no longer have their freedom.

He said that he had given a prisoner N100 then others started begging him to also help them.

”I gave the prisoners money out of pity, though I am very poor and sell pure water, I still have my Freedom, I can eat whatever I want to eat and go anywhere I want to go, but the prisoners do not have that freedom,” the hawker said in part.
