According to Akan, Ghanaians and most music lovers are so much interested in following trends hence do not pay attention to people or musicians/ artists who stand to do something different or unique from the masses.

In an exclusive interview, this morning on the ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show aired on Accra-based radio station Hitz FM and hosted by the renowned disc jockey, rapper, and media personality Andy Dosty, Akan stated he sometimes get some funny feelings that people don’t listen to his music.

He added that Ghanaians and music lovers should be ready to listen to something new to encourage artists like himself and others who do unique music in the country rather than following trends alone and pushing them aside.

Akan is a household name in the Ghanaian music industry especially music lovers who like poetry and the sense of Africanism. He cemented himself in the music industry when he released his debut album ‘Onipa Akoma’ in 2018.
