In other news, The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has strongly cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari against the proposed fuel subsidy removal.

Primate Ayodele issued a statement through his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin, warning the government to hold off on plans to eliminate fuel subsidies in the sake of the poor masses because it will effect a lot of things.

He stated that the Nigerian economy is in bad position at the present, and that reducing subsidies at a time when the country is facing a catastrophic economic crisis will do more harm than good.

He stated that some banks and corporations will be impacted, and that the country’s debt burden will continue to rise except the government takes action.

He said: ‘’The removal of fuel subsidies at a time like this is not advisable because the economy of Nigeria isn’t in good shape. Already, the people are faced with enough hardship and removal of fuel subsidy will only worsen the situation.
