Residents welcome Starboy Terri as he visits Wizkid’s old hood, Surulere (Video)

Nigerian singer, Starboy Terri, has paid a surprise visit to his boss’ former neighbourhood, Shitta, Surulere in Lagos state.

Wizkid was born and bred in Shitta, and his songs also highlight his background which he’s never been shy of talking about.

Terri, who is signed to Starboy Entertainment, received a warm welcome from residents who were happy to see him and snap pictures. He, however, did not go with Big Wiz.

Few years ago the Ojuelegba crooner also paid a visit to Shitta and residents trooped out in hundreds to see him.

He was in the country after a having a tour with US rapper, Future, so he used the opportunity to visit the hood he grew up.

The Baruwa Eleniyan popularly known as “King of Surulere also welcomed him together with fans.

In other news, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid, recently achieved a historic feat in the United States.

The artiste has set record by becoming the first African artiste to bag four different music certifications in the US.

Africa Facts Zone broke the news on Twitter as it listed the tracks that earned him the new speak status.

According to AFZ, Wizkid’s song with Tems, Essence; Come closer featuring Drake, Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl and Drake’s One Dance Come Closer are the tracks that made the international record possible.

It also reported that the Starboy Entertainment CEO holds a similar title in the UK where he 10 music certifications under his belt.
