Yaa Pono has humbly implored the Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo-Dampare to set his colleague Shatta Wale free so he can personally handle his case for him.

While referring to the Dancehall act as his son, Yaa Pono who has a long history of animosity with the honcho of the vibrant Shatta Movement suggested that he’s the only person that can drum sense into Shatta Wale.

Yaa Pono, known for his monster hit Obia Wone Master said once Wale is set free, he’ll take him home and deal with him personally. He took to Twitter saying;

“Oh so who I go worry den Dey en top , pls papa see to ma pikin @shattawalegh make he come home make I deal with am #ponobiom #sovran.”

See the post below;

Ponobiom was recently in the news when he shared an old photo of himself and budding artist Black Sherif while in the studios putting finishing touches to his first ever song he helped him record.

Blck Sherif, who has always paid homage to Yaa Pono for giving him the pedestal to reach this level, is presently the most sought after artiste in Ghana after his first two singles, First Sermon and Second Sermon became a street and engrossed all digital and social media platforms.

To confirm that indeed their path crossed years ago when Sherif was barely known, the Uptown Energy subscriber shared the photo to perhaps remind fans of Sherif’s humble begginings.
