Professor Defeats Sharia Censorship in Academia

Scottsdale Community College political science professor Nicholas Damask returned to Global Patriot Radio to discuss his appeals court victory in defending his academic freedom to teach about the Islamic doctrinal basis of jihad terrorism. The United States Ninth Circuit of Appeals recently upheld a district court’s dismissal of a lawsuit filed by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) against Damask. CAIR had alleged that materials in Damask’s World Politics course concerning Islamic terrorism violated a student’s religious freedom by grading him on multiple choice questions, whose correct answers identified the ideological basis of this violence in Islamic canons. Damask joined Conservative Casual Friday show host Andrew E. Harrod to discuss the struggle for this signal victory for free speech, among other matters.
