Embattled Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus has refuted claims that he has been suspended from the political party.

Recall there were some rumblings in the party and the top hierarchy were called to resolve the issue between Uche Secondus and Governor Wike.

The media aide for Secondus, Ike Abonyi was contacted by Daily Post to react to news of the dismissal.

He made it known that the claims are a hoax and people should not give any attention to it.

he said “I can confirm that the story is false and you can quote me anywhere. I’m currently in Port Harcourt and there’s no such thing as him being suspended,”

In other news, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike rcently posited that the current National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, do not have the capacity to lead the party to victory in the 2023 general elections.

According to him, National Working Committee should be replaced to make the PDP clinch power in the next elections. He made his submission on national television in Port Harcourt.

He said: “If you go to the public and ask Nigerians if PDP is ready to take over power in 2023, if you take referendum, you will know that Nigerians are even waiting for PDP. But the fear of Nigerians is whether PDP is ready to take over power. So, people are concerned about it. Obviously, it is ripe for PDP to take over, but you must be prepared to take over.
