Nigerian actor and politician, Yul Edochie has warmed the heart of a visually impaired young man who impersonates him by mimicking his trademark unique voice with a cash gift of (N100,000).
The young man went viral after a video of him speaking in a very deep voice typical of the popular actor surfaced online which greatly impressed the netizens including Yul himself who came across the footage.
Yul reshared the video on his Instagram page and said; ‘A blind fan of one mine who mimicked my voice. He will get 100k today as soon as I receive his name and account details.’
Yul Edochie made it known a few hours ago that he has fulfilled his promise to the blind fan after successfully reaching out to him. He updated his timeline writing:
“He has received his 100k giveaway. For all those who would like to support him as well, you can reach him through @rude_king_official,” the actor stated.
Yul Edochie recently addressed an open letter to Ghanaian Dancehall specialist Shatta Wale as a response to his attacks on Nigerian entertainers shortly after he successfully sold out the Accra Sports Stadium during his Freedom Wave Concert.
The top thespian and filmmaker from Nigeria reminded Wale that no Nigerian actor complained when their Ghanaian counterparts were taking all the lead roles in Nollywood.
Although he never mentioned names, he suggested that when the likes of Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Van Vicker, and other A-list stars from Ghana monopolized Nollywood, no actor from Nigeria complained about their sudden dominance.
The actor further said Shatta Wale’s historic collabo with R&B superstar Beyonce is always on repeat in his car which invariably is a form of support he also gives him for which reason his premise for the insult is baseless.
He said this in an open letter he addressed to Shatta Wale on Instagram;
Dear Shatta Wale, coming out to say ‘F**k Nigerian artistes’ is extreme and too low for a man like you. That’s hate.
I remember when Nigerian movie producers were giving all the lead roles to Ghanaian actors a few years back, no Nigerian ever came out to say ‘F**k Ghanaian actors’.
I have lots of fans from Ghana who send me goodwill messages daily, inviting me to Ghana and I appreciate all of them.
I’m a fan of your music.Your track with Beyonce is always on repeat in my car. No matter what is pissing you off, a man like you with a large fan base should be using it to promote peace and unity among Africans and the rest of the world. You should apologise for such a statement.
