No top female artiste is supporting the upcoming ones – Phyna expresses disappointment

Reality TV star, Phyna has dragged established Nigerian female singers for not helping any of the up-and-coming female artistes.

The winner of Big Brother Naija 2022 stated that she has never seen any of the top songstresses uplifting their younger colleagues like the male counterparts do.

Phyna was speaking during an interview with actress, Susan Pwajok on Glitch Africa Studio’s Surviving Lagos Podcast.

She made reference to how a popular male artiste can pick up an unknown talent and give him the opportunity to be a star, whereas she does not see that happen with the women.

The native of Edo state, however, agreed with Susan that it could also be as a result of fear that the women have for each other.

She said some of the respectable singers may be scared that when they help an upcoming female, she may start disrespecting her or making ridiculous gossip.

In other news, Big Brother Naija 2022 housemate, Chichi has revealed that she advised her friend, Phyna not to date Groovy after Beauty left the reality TV show.

It may be recalled that Beauty was in a relationship with Groovy before she got disqualified in the second week.

Days after she exited, Phyna and the model started getting close and their fondness eventually grew into a relationship.

But he was evicted last Sunday, in the penultimate week alongside Hermes and Sheggz.

Speaking with Bryann after she and Phyna had a clash, Chichi said she told the hype priestess that if she were in the same situation, she would not have moved to Groovy or agreed to be with him after his girlfriend at the time had left.

The exotic dancer said that the reason she told Phyna to not date him was because they had not heard from Beauty to know what really happened.
