Nigerians have applauded renowned actor Kanayo O. Kanayo for intervening in the current dilemma of a 12-year-old Dowen pupil.

Sylvester Oromoni was a student at Dowen College in Lagos when he died.

His peers allegedly beat him to death because he refused to join a cult at school, an accusation rejected by the institution.

Sylvester died as a result of an accident acquired while playing football, according to the school administration.

The Lagos State Government intervened after a public uproar on social media and ordered the institution to be closed indefinitely.

Meanwhile, renowned actor Kanayo believes that simply closing the school is not justice for the sad 12-year-old boy who died tragically.
