“My Mother Begged Me To Back Out From The #FixTheCountry Campaign”-Efia Odo Reveals [Video]
Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has disclosed that she was subjected to a lot of misfortunes and death threats when she joined the online #FixTheCountry to demonstrate against the bad governance of the Akufo Addo-led government.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM with Halifax Ansah Addo, Efia Odo revealed that she did not join the campaign against any political party but rather draw the attention of the government to critical issues facing the country.
She lamented that illegal mining continues to destroy our precious lands and water bodies causing a lot of health issues and complications during childbirth. She also said that the lack of social amenities and infrastructures is also one of the main problems facing the country.
However, she revealed that she received death threats from some people who were against the campaign with some threatening to bathe her with acid when she embarks on the demonstration. Also, he mother who is based in the United State of America called her to beg her, crying for her to stop the campaign.
She revealed that she wouldn’t have backed out of the campaign if not for the intervention of her mother because she claims she was not scared of the death threats.
It would be vividly recalled that Efia Odo was arrested by the police along with some other protestors who stormed the premises of the court with placards during a proceeding in the courtroom.
