My goal is to change how the western world sees us – Davido

Nigerian music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has said that his goal as an entertainer is to use music and change the way Africa is viewed in the world.

He said that he is using his songs to try and change the narrative of what the western world was taught or made to believe about Africa being backward in terms of civilisation.

Davido spoke during a chat with Travel Noire while also recounting a child hood experience which propels him to project Nigeria and the African continent in a positive light.

He recounted growing up in America, and instances where he had to fly to and fro but it amazed white people who wondered how Africans flew abroad.

The ‘If’ crooner said he informed the people that asked that he informed them that he used airplane and they were shocked.
