Sylvester Oromoni, a late Dowen student, has disclosed that his late son refuted accusations that he was injured playing football before his death.

Prior to his death, Sylvester admitted to his father that he didn’t play football in school and didn’t trip and fall.

Junior “finally opened up” on November 29, when his father was away for a government engagement, according to his father.

In his father’s words;

“Junior said, ‘mummy, I didn’t play ball; I didn’t fall.’ He jumped off his hostel bed. They kicked him, matched his waist. Other students ran off. They threatened to kill them all if they spoke a word to the school staff. They warned Junior to say he sustained injuries while playing ball. They threatened him. If you ask the roommate, they’d all lie. They matched his ribs and waist. All that pain for a 12-year-old.”

Reacting to the viral happening at Dowen College, Whitemoney has condemned the killing of the young boy while he sympathises with his family. He urged that the appropriate authorities take up the matter and bring all perpetrators to book irrespective of status or wealth.

He wrote on Twitter;

I sympathize with the family of Sylvester Oromoni. No child deserve to go through such pain in the hands of anybody. Shut down the school until a proper investigation is done and everyone involved prosecuted. Wealth/status no go cover up this one! #Justiceforsylvester
