As per Psychiatrist Michael H. Stone, Ramirez’s criminal son went through this untreatable mental illness called Schizoid Personality Disorder. According to him, multiple scars that he experienced before age 6, were the prominent reason behind developing such an illness.

The disorder that Richard suffered led him to temporal lobe epilepsy, aggressivity, and hypersexuality.

Based on his horrifying criminal activities, many movies and series have been made till the year 2022. First, in 1989, a TV movie named Manhunt: Search for the Night Stalker was made. After that, the 2002 film Night Stalker was produced based on his life history.

Similarly, in 2009 and 2016, two other film with the title The Night Stalker was produced narrating his criminal activities. Her Son Richard Died At The Age Of 53

On June 7, 2013, her son who was sentenced to prison died at the age of 53 in California. He was admitted to Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California due to complications secondary to B-cell lymphoma and also has been affected by “chronic substance abuse and chronic hepatitis C viral infection”.

On his death, his family told El Paso Times,

“We are mourning the loss of our son and brother, Richard Ramirez,

The world judged him, whether fairly or unfairly, it no longer matters.

“He is now before the true judge, the judge that sees and knows all things. We ask that you respect our sorrow and grief.”
