MEET The Ghanaian Lady Who Has Made History As The First Black Woman To Win Gold In Olympics Wrestling
A young black lady has made history at the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo after becoming the first black woman to gold at the Wrestling event.
The name of this beautiful lady is Tamyra Mensah-Stock and her story was shared by renowned Ghanaian journalist, Owuraku Ampofo in a recent post.
The post made by the journalist reads;
“Tamyra Mensah-Stock made history as the first Black woman to win Gold in Olympics wrestling
Her story is an interesting one. Her Dad is Ghanaian; she quit track and field because she was getting bullied in school, joined the wrestling team and is now Olympic Gold medalist. What a story.”
Some Ghanaians have shared their thoughts about this feat and some of the reactions we gathered are;
Nana Adu – Sometimes I don’t blame them when they chose Europe over Africa because most of them find peace in Europe. Until our leaders begins to change their minds , things will continue to be like this . Sometimes it’s better to eat well outside than to starve at home.
Viruz de Cyruz – She won gold because we represented USA if she was to represent Ghana she will not win even chamber Pot
Sethlord Dodi Zenzen – Congratulations whether you represented Ghana or USA still you’re black, strong and beautiful with a Ghanaian name too, sister gye w3ni wai
Isaac Nimako Mensah – We had a certain matured Marta Bissue who could have easily won us 800m gold medal but we have decided to suspend her since 2014 bcus of someones colloquial interest.
Charles Buabeng – For USA, we noe dey treat our sports men n women well.. Hw can they represent us
Even if they win, the officials will fight with them cus of bonus
