Martha Ankomah Recounts How Her Mother Came To Beat Her At National Theatre – Video
Martha Ankomah has recounted how her mother came to beat her with a cane at the national theatre just because she never wanted her to be an actress.
Martha Ankomah disclosed that growing up she was doing a ‘concert’ to nurture her acting career but her mother never wanted her to become an actress so she wasn’t giving her the support she needed but her father was always there for her.
According to her, one day she was at the national theatre when her mother came to beat her with a cane saying they have paid school fees for her to go and learn and she’s there doing concert but today the struggle has paid and she’s supporting her.

Martha Ankomah then added that her mother didn’t want her to become an actress back then because they weren’t paid well or taken care of well as Nigerians were doing for their actors but today her mother has realized that it’s not good to prevent your child from exhibiting his/her talent.
Most parents are like the mother of Martha Ankomah as they think going to school and having a white color job will be better for their kids than following their heart in exhibiting their talent and making good use of it.
