In September 2020, Adefeso requested a restraining order against Tamar, who is the younger sister of Toni Braxton, an R&B classic, amid allegations that she had threatened to kill him and assaulted him while he was driving.

Appearing on The Tamron Hall Show last October, Tamrar denied the ex’s claims of him.

“And at no point [were] David and I in an abusive relationship.”

She also claimed that they had audio recordings proving that he was innocent of any physical abuse in the exchange.

She told Hall: ‘He has the videotape, he was in his car. Release it. ‘

Adefeso told People in a statement in September that he wished Braxton the best in terms of his “mental and emotional stability”, stating that he was “the victim in this situation.”

“As I documented in the presentation, I am actually a victim of domestic abuse,” she said.

“As humiliating as this is, I must speak for my own truth and that of others who do not have a platform. ‘she added.
