Emmanuel Leweh, the chairman of the Akwanga Local Government Council in Nasarawa State, has died.

According to reports, Leweh, who took office three months ago, fell while meeting with his council members on Monday, January 10 at the council Secretariat in the Akwanga local government area of the state.

He was transferred to a private hospital in Abuja and remained there until Thursday, January 13, when he died.

Mr. Samuel Tsebe, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, verified the deceased.

 “I lost my elder brother (Hon Emmanuel Joseph Leweh, Executive Chairman of Akwanga LGA) to the cold hand of Death this evening after a brief illness.”

In other news, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, a socialite and the Chairman of the Cubana group of firms, was questioned by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday, January 13 for an alleged relation to the illegal narcotics business.

On Thursday, Obi Cubana posted a video of his first club, which he established in Abuja in 2006, with the message “showcasing what we do for a living,” just hours before it was reported that he was interrogated by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged drug ties.

He posted the video with the following caption:
