Shatta Wale was prophesied to be shot and killed by some unknown assailants. This prophecy was made by the leader of the New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi Appiah, well known as Jesus Ahuofe.

On Monday night, the musician was alleged to have been shot at East Legon by some unknown person just as the prophecy foretold. Per a statement released by Shatta Wale, the alleged shooting incident happened to be a publicity stunt he pulled in relation to the death prophecy.

According to Shatta Wale. he was on the run for his life because the man of God could have done anything possible for his death prophecy to come to pass, thus the need to pull up the stunt.

He was arrested by the police on Tuesday night along with his PR, Nana Dope, and Gangee, another member of his crew. He was accused of causing fear and panic and as a result, was remanded into police custody for one week after he was made to appear before the court.

Well, some fans took to the digital space to launch a #FreeShattaWale campaign as they demand the release of the musician from police custody.

In reaction to that, Efia Odo speaking in an interview with Zionfelix stated that there was no need to champion a #FreeShattaWale campaign because Shatta Wale turned himself in and he needs to pay for his action although his reasons were just.
