Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has urged the Federal Government to enlist Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN and Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM as part of the terrorist groups in Nigeria.
Following the news that the Federal Government had designated bandits as terrorist organizations, Ortom called for a similar treatment to be meted out ti the fulani associations.
Governor Ortom made his disclosure while speaking on Friday, in Makurdi at the wedding between Barristers Agatha Msurshima Tyokyaa and Uhamber Bamber.
Ortom alleged that bandits are often associated with the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, MACBAN and FUNAM and so it should be fitting when they are declared as terrorists.
He said, “I want to commend the Federal Government for being bold to designate bandits as terrorists. But I call on the government to also include Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN and Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM in the category of terrorists because those bandits are their members,”
In other news, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reiterated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to solve the overwhelming insecurity challenges of Nigeria.
The Vice President stated that the country’s security concerns would be overcome in due time and that Nigeria would be better and greater as a result of the triumph.
The VP made the disclosure on Thursday at the Presidential Villa when he received the Muhammadu Buhari Osinbajo (MBO) Dynamic Support Group.
OSsinbajo said: “We must never relent in ensuring that we keep to the ideals of the country and we don’t lose sight of what we are trying to achieve here.
