I’m not the boy in the viral throwback photo with Wizkid – Zlatan clarifies



Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile has revealed that he is not the boy in a viral throwback photo with superstar singer, Wizkid.

There is an image is on the internet which was snapped around 2010 and it shows Wizkid posing with a young boy whom many people say is Zlatan.

The image has trended on numerous occasions whenever people go down memory lane to recall Zlatan’s rise to fame.

However, in a recent interview with Factory 78, the artiste cleared the air and said that the boy is not him but somebody that he knows.

The ‘Lagos Anthem’ crooner said the kid is a friend from his childhood known as Joshua Akpan.

The singer explained that Joshua played football at a tournament organised by MTN and that was why he wore the branded shirt in the picture.

In other news, the Hip Hop star said ace musician, Olamide is a life changer who helped many artistes become stars.

He hailed the YBNL Nation founder for helping him and other artistes like Naira Marley, Fireboy DML and Adekunle Gold.

While speaking with friends, Zlatan Ibile listed musicians that Olamide uplifted and noted that he does not brag or seek accolades for all does. He said that Olamide never speaks about how many people he helps.

He recounted how the ‘Wo’ crooner called him at the early stage of his career for them to record his first song, and thy traveled to another state.

Zlatan said he was in disbelief while he was in the studio with Olamide because he never thought he would have such an opportunity.

Other artistes that he said Baddo has given platforms to thrive include, Ycee, Dotman, Young John, Pheelz and Asake.
