‘Illegal’ crooner, Pepenazi now a pastor [Video]

Nigerian singer, Opeyemi Gbenga Kayode, popularly known as Pepenazi has surfaced as a preacher after his hiatus from music.

The artiste has been off the spotlight for a few years with his fans and colleagues unaware of his whereabouts or status of his welbeing.

However, the singer, famously known for his hit song, Illegal which features rapper, Olamide has embraced a new life in Christ.

Pepenazi shared a video of him preaching on his Instagram story and it got fans talking about the surprising switch from making secular music to being a man of God.

The one time Headies “Rookie of the year” nominee, was quoting the scriptures while holding a Holy Bible.

In October 2020, Pepenazi who is also a songwriter got married to his girlfriend Janine Osbourne.

The couple exchanged vows at the Ikoyi registry, Lagos in the presence of their friends and family, and a few of his colleagues on October 30 2020.

On Air Personality and hypeman, Dotun who was in attendance took to his Instagram page to share photos from the court wedding.

He wrote; ”Our youngest sealed it! .. God bless your union @pepenazi & @janineosbourne.”
