“I Wasn’t Releasing Songs Because I Was Going Through A Spiritual Problem’-Yaw Tog Reveals [Video]

Ghanaian musician, Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, affectionately known as Yaw Tog has opened up on the reasons behind his sudden disappearance from the music scene for some time.

According to the rapper, he was facing some changes with regards to his spirituality and that hindered him from carrying out his duties as a musician and had to halt his music for some time.

Speaking in an interview on the Uncut Show with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger, Zionfelix, Yaw Tog stated that he was faced with a lot of spiritual challenges and he was forced to take a break of the music scene to restructure himself.

He said that the plans he had for his music career and life were not falling in place as he expected and he kept on failing at whatever he ventures, hence he needed to step back for some time.

“The way I wanted things to fall in place were not going as I expected. Anything I do goes back so I had to sit down and do what was necessary and come back again”, he said.

However, he redeemed himself and regained his grounds through prayers offered to him by his pastor, his mother and his entire team. He added that he has learnt never to risk his life and open up to everyone he meets and for that reason, he has decided not to open his circles anymore.

He also confirmed that his mother has been playing a key role in his redemption process because anytime he plans on going out, she packs his food and water for him just so he wouldn’t eat or drink from anyone outside his home.
