Michael Blankson has uploaded a new video that shows a massive school building that is presently under construction in Ghana.

The school is going to be equipped with all the modern logistics that befits a high-class school which includes a library, computer laboratory and science laboratory. He also made it clear in the video that the school he’s putting up in the village where he grew up in Ghana is the reason why he’s always here to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The construction of the school is funded by Blackson with assistance from Afrobeats star Fuse ODG, who has also helped with school construction projects with other stars including British rapper Stefflon Don and social media personality and activist Chaka Bars in Ghana, Jamaica, and the Democratic Republic of Congo through I Heart Africa to help raise money for the various projects to help children from impoverished areas receive a quality education without leaving the neighborhood where they grew up.

Michael Blackson was born on November 28, 1972, in Ghana. His father, Kwaku-Nsian Adom Bediako, stayed in Ghana while Blackson’s mother had custody of him and his sister.

Bediako died in 2008. Blackson’s family moved to Liberia at some point, before relocating to Newark, New Jersey when he was 13, and then settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when he was 15. He began pursuing comedy after his coworker at Domino’s suggested he start open mic (Wikipedia).

He shared the video on his IG page captioning it;

“This the main reason I’m in Ghana every other month is to make sure this project is done in time so these little children will have a place to learn. What should I name the school?” he wrote.
