I Self-produced The Whole ‘Onipa Akoma’ Album- Pure Akan Reveals

Ghanaian rapper and poet Pure Akan popularly referred to as Akan for short has revealed he self-produced his own ‘Onipa Akoma’ album.

Akan released his debut album ‘Onipa Akoma’ in 2017 and cemented his place as one of the unique musicians in the Ghanaian music industry with his unique talent and his sense of Africanism and the display of culture.

The album has some songs like ‘Helebaba’, ‘Me Sika Duro’, ‘Nsa Ffufuo’, ‘Aprodo’, ‘Matu Meto’, ‘Anadwo Y3 D3’, ‘Akoma No Abuagumu’ and other 8 songs featured on the album. The album only featured Ghanaian unique musician Worlasi as the guest artist on the album.

His creativity in poetry and his ability to infuse it in his rap and songs have made him one of the household names in the Ghanaian music industry as a unique and talented musician.

In an exclusive interview, this morning on the ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show aired on Accra-based radio station Hitz FM and hosted by the renowned disc jockey, rapper, and media personality Andy Dosty, Akan has revealed he produced the entire ‘Onipa Akoma’ album on his own.

Akan recently expressed how sometimes he has some feelings like no one is listening to his music because of how Ghanaians and most music lovers stand to follow trends and neglect the unique and talented musicians in the country.
