I Could Not Build A House Or Shop After 30 Years Of Teaching – Retired Ghanaian Teacher

Published

A retired Ghanaian teacher has stated that during her three decades of teaching, there were few to no incentives for instructors.

In an interview with Michael Owusu Afriyie, better known as Teacher Kwadwo, a Ghanaian professional teacher, she stated that she was unable to gain any substantial property throughout her years of employment.

Despite their efforts and years of dedication and service to the country, teachers, she claims, were paid inadequately.

When asked if she could name one thing she bought with the money she earned as a teacher after 30 years, she said her pay was enough.

Because of her meager wages, she stated that she could not afford to build a house or a shop. According to her, if one does not marry someone who is doing better in life, they will not be able to develop or do anything worth celebrating, and they would need a side business to improve their living situation.
