I can never disrespect Timaya, you’re talking without thinking – Benkretz replies King Perryy

Singer, Benkretz has reacted after King Perryy called him out regarding his comments about Timaya and Burna Boy not supporting artistes.

CorrectNG reported earlier that Benkret appealed to dancehall stars, Burna Boy and Timaya to emulate their colleague, Olamide, who is known for grooming talents.

Benkretz wrote; ‘‘Olamide has helped a lot of local contents (artists )from the west(lasgidi) rise & stand.

@burnaboygram @timayatimaya please do same in the south (Port Harcourt), We use God beg una. Plenty talents Dey south but Helpers Far from us.”

But in response, Perryy lashed out at him and noted that the Reggae star, Timaya is the sole person responsible for transforming his life.

He said that it is disrespectful to put Timaya in the category of top singers who have not supported up and coming talents.

Sharing a video of him addressing the report, Perryy said the ‘Ukwu’ crooner has done things for him that only a father can do for a son.

However, hours after his video circulated online, Benkretz has now accused him of lacking comprehension.

He said King Perryy was only looking for cheap publicity which is why he rushed online to react without understanding what he said.

Benkretz said that he would never disrespect Timaya and what he meant was for them to hop on songs with upcoming artistes like Olamide does.

In his words; ”I can never disrespect @timayatimaya ! Pls don’t misquote me! Some people just come online and talk without thinking jst bcus you want to show on social media or trend Don’t jst rust to talk after smoking whatever, Take time to read and understand I only said we need assistance from our senior brothers to boost and support local contents in the south like what @olamide has done in the west For artists like T.I Blaze, Portable etc Just a verse from baddo changed their lives and career Now they are all standing strong independent. So I’m not insulting anyone rather I’m interceding for the future of the south in entertainment Everyone can’t be in Lagos.”
