The ‘Ku Lo Sa’ crooner said he became a bus conductor just to survive and even started selling BRT tickets. He said that he would sell tickets in the morning and go to the cafe at night to sell more tickets so he can get money to buy food.

Ths Afropop artiste said that at the time, music was not a priority on his mind, but one of the friends he was squatting with was a producer while the second guy was a video director.

Oxlade further revealed that he was part of an acapella group in church called Pella Squad and they made attempt to record a demo, so they visited a producer, who then allowed them to be in his studio.

He said he used to appeal to him after sessions to record and one lucky day the producer gave him a chance and rapper Blaqbonez was coincidentally on the same song at the time.

The singer said Blaqbonez is the one who found him and was impressed with his sound so they recorded a song together named Mami Water.
