The northern governor stated his colleagues didn’t want to waste public monies unnecessarily during an interview on Channels Television on Monday night, January 17.

“All the governors try to look inwards on their spendings. You don’t see governors going in a convoy of 30, 40 vehicles. You see us mostly now with three or four vehicles,” he said.

“Most of the governors have dropped unnecessary expenditure to reduce the cost of governance. That is the first step to reduce the cost of governance.”

He concluded that the health and education sectors are the main priorities of the state governors.

In other news, Reno Omokri has explained how Nigerian youngsters can elect the correct leader in the upcoming general election.

Nigerian youths, according to Omokri, should approach the 2023 elections in the same way they approached Big Brother Naija.

He also exhorted them to vote on election day, regardless of how long they had to wait in line.

The former Presidential aide noted that there is no way the election could be rigged if there is a higher turnout of voters, however it makes it easier to be rigged when there is a low voter turnout.

He wrote on his official Instagram account;

Dear Nigerian youths,

The 2023 elections are almost here. Approach it like you did with #BBNaija. Form teams for your preferred candidate. Spend your money campaigning for them. Broadcast their manifestos to all your contacts. Forget about rice and pay the price for your future. Don’t be BBNaija wise and Aso Rock foolish! You say your PVC does not count. Who told you? Rigging is only successful when there is low voter turnout out. But where there is a high voter turnout, rigging is all but impossible. You waited patiently until the BBNaija phone lines were open for voting. Now, prepare to wait patiently in line, until the PVC machine reads you vote!
