“Ghana Has No Movie Industry”-Majid Michel Passionately Speaks [Video]

Celebrated Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has expressed his frustrations in the lack of a capable and well-equipped movie industry in Ghana.

According to him, most Ghanaian movie producers were businessmen who only had the passion and interest in telling stories by making films, but there was no movie industry to fund and support them in making their films.

Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Forson on Jesus Is The Reason, Majid Michel stated that the introduction of the media and other platforms made it impossible for movie producers to distribute their films, hence the majority of them had to quit.

He stated that most Ghanaian movie producers were businessmen, hence the moment they realized they could not yield the income they expected out of their investments, they had to quit making films.

He also eulogized his colleague, Martha Ankomah for her new movie, saying he prays she makes more of it since there is no industry in the country to back her.
