Speyer (as) – The horror of the deadly knife attack by a Somali refugee in Ludwigshafen Oggersheim a few days ago is still deep. Painter Jonas S. (20) was stabbed, with a stab in his neck, then the perpetrator cut off his forearm and threw it onto a balcony. The second victim, Sascha K. (35), wanted to help his colleague. The killer rammed the knife into his chest several times while he is said to have shouted the Islamist battle cry “Allahu Akbar.”
Today, just a few kilometers from Ludwigshafen, there was another knife attack in Speyer, with two seriously injured. In a joint press release, the public prosecutor’s office and the police speak of an intention to kill. On Friday afternoon (October 21, 2022), around 12:15 p.m., a 27-year-old Afghan attacked his 16-year-old friend and her 36-year-old mother with a knife, according to the current investigation status, in an apartment building on Wormser Landstrasse. The perpetrator fled from the scene of the crime and was provisionally arrested during the immediately initiated search by police forces. Both women were seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by paramedics. The public prosecutor’s office in Frankenthal and the criminal police in Ludwigshafen have started the investigation.
Meanwhile, criticism of Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD), who has not yet commented on the process in Ludwigshafen. Former BILD editor-in-chief Julian Reichert tweeted: “Day three after the Islamist bloodbath in Ludwigshafen. A #Somali slaughtered two people. And still no word from Interior Minister Faeser. Instead, she calls for MORE migration right after the fact.”
