Fresh Army recruit ‘quits’ moments after finding out he’ll be posted to Maiduguri

A young man who allegedly just got enlisted into the Nigerian Army ‘resigned’ after being told that he will be deployed to serve in Maiduguri, Borno State.

In what seemed like a ‘cruise’, the fresh army recruit dropped the military uniform and said he no longer wants to be a soldier.

His superior officers insisted that he would be posted to Maiduguri to serve his fatherland even though he stated that he is from Calabar, Cross River.

The man maintained his position that he is not comfortable with the idea of going to Borno after all the training.

The soldiers probed him further to know who will go to the region seeing as he has declined and he retorted that it’s none of his business.
