Free food galore – Nigerian lady shares first time experience at church in Canada

A Nigerian lady known as Favour, has shared the surprisingly positive culture shock that hit her when she attended a church service in Canada.

The young woman said it was her first time going to the church in Toronto and she was amazed to see that free food was in abundance.

Favour said when she reached the location of New Life Church, she observed that it noiseless and did not have speakers mounted outside like churches in Nigeria.

In a video posted online, she narrated how they were told after communion to go downstairs for fellowship. But she did not know that the ‘fellowship’ meant free food.

On reaching the lower deck, Favour was marvelled to see different kinds of meals and edible items laid out on a big table.

She got a plate and was served brownies which she said tasted like bean cakes and spring rolls. Moving on Favour was then permitted to serve herself from the remaining items on the table.

The lady said it was so nice that she a second round, after which she was given a lift home and they asked that she joins them next Sunday.

To which she hilariously responded that she would definietly come back to the church the following week.

In other news, popular social media influencer Abike Arab Money also known as Papaya Ex has revealed how much she spends on data every week.

The self-acclaimed big girl lamented about spending N50k on data subscription weekly without it lasting for long.

Papaya Ex, in a series of posts on her Twitter account described it as daylight robbery.

She also reminisced on the good old days when Nigerians could use 1GB of data in a month and it would not be exhausted until the date of expiration.

Her post however caused fans on the microblogging platform to raise questions with some accusing her of lying for clout.

In response to trolls, Papaya went on to explain that she uses the internet to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The brand ambassador also suggested that the N50k data does not last her up to five days but she just decided to say a week.

In her words; ”I can’t do this anymore ? I give up. 50k data in a week?? I miss days we use 1GB in a month please. What’s this daylight robbery ??help!. Lmaoo. Because I didn’t say 50k in 5 days? Mtchew. I use 10k every single day. I use internet 24/7, how much do you expect me to use? 2k? Please please, y’all act ignorant blindly everytime on this app. Who doesn’t know 100k is the new 10k lately. Kmt abeg!”
