FBI agent who bungled Hunter Biden probe suddenly resigns, his lawyers deny he was pressured out

Could the chickens be coming home to roost for Democrats? This story about FBI agent Timothy Thibault quitting is all over the mainstream media. Some say he willingly “resigned.” Jack Posobiec tweeted:

Thibault’s lawyers claim, however, he “was not fired, not forced to retire, and not asked to retire.” Maybe he did resign, but in response to gentle pressure.

Charlie Kirk tweeted:

The spotlight on the FBI is getting brighter, as it should after the unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago. Recently, Alan Dershowitz remarked that he “sees sufficient evidence to indict Trump” based on his reading of the “highly redacted FBI affidavit.” But Dershowitz also previously stated that the raid was “totally unjustified.” The words “sufficient evidence” in Dershowitz’s statement were critical. He continued:

Getting a search warrant is easy to do, and a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich so that is why we need prosecutorial discretion….Dershowitz said public anger should be directed not at Judge Reinhart for sighing off on the search, but rather Attorney General Merrick Garland for seeking the warrant in the first place. “By the DOJ’s own regulations, you don’t seek a search warrant unless that’s the only way you can get the material.”

The New York Times reported in April on Joe Biden’s determination to ruin Trump:

Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments. And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor…

All eyes are rightly turned to the DOJ and the FBI, as they should be. Scrutiny of these entities is long overdue.

The unfolding story about the FBI could no longer be ignored, not with Mark Zuckerberg being challenged about Facebook’s running interference for the FBI on the popular Joe Rogan podcast. According to NBC News:

Zuckerberg told Rogan that Facebook limited the exposure of a story ahead of the 2020 election after the FBI warned him to beware of polarizing content.

The BBC revealed:

The New York Post alleged leaked emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop showed the then vice-president was helping his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. Facebook and Twitter restricted sharing of the article, before reversing course amid allegations of censorship. Zuckerberg said that getting the decision wrong “sucks”. “When we take down something that we’re not supposed to, that’s the worst,” Zuckerberg said in a rare extended media interview on the Joe Rogan podcast.

Facebook’s political activism was glaring, and now the public has been given a glimpse behind the scenes in this eyebrow-raising revelation from Zuckerberg. How much has Facebook and other media and organizations been manipulated by Democrat-controlled agencies?

In what looked like a knee-jerk response to Zuckerberg, the FBI voluntarily got itself into further hot water by virtually admitting to what Zuckerberg had said:

The federal agency said it can only alert a private entity of a potential threat, not require it to take action.

But what “potential threat” was it referencing? The same “threat” that Joe Biden confided to his inner circle about Trump before the raid? The FBI has become a partisan agency, with sweeping powers, and the question is how far is it prepared to go?  The answer is likely that it will go as far it can possibly go to serve the Deep State, as long as it is able to avoid accountability.

The globalist deep state is desperate to shut down Donald Trump and prevent him from being able to “make America great again.”

But now, the elites may have to begin a save-your-own-skin process of throwing one another under the bus amid all the public scrutiny.

Good riddance to Timothy Thibault, but he is just the tip of the iceberg, one player in the dirty swamp. Leftie Vox, in loyal service to its Democrat overlords, asked the question months ago: How do you solve a problem like Joe Rogan? Thanks to alternate media and Rogan in particular for pursuing the truth at a costly price.

“Who is Timothy Thibault? FBI Agent Behind Hunter Biden Probe Retires,” by James Bickerton, Newsweek, August 30, 2022:

Timothy Thibault, an FBI agent accused of political bias over his role in the Hunter Biden laptop investigation, retired from his job on Friday.

The former Assistant Special Agent in Charge was escorted out of his Washington D.C. office, as is standard practice, according to Fox News.

Thibault rose to public attention as one of 13 assistant special agents who was investigating Biden’s laptop, which the FBI seized in 2019, ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

Earlier in August he was removed from this supervisory role by FBI director Christopher Wray, following whistleblower accusations of bias the bureau chief described as “deeply troubling.”

On Thursday Republican Senator Ron Johnson wrote to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Inspector General at the Department of Justice, alleging politically motivated “corruption” within the bureau.

Claiming to have heard from whistleblowers, the GOP lawmaker wrote: “Recently, my office heard from individuals with knowledge of the FBI’s apparent corruption.

“After the FBI obtained the Hunter Biden laptop from the Wilmington, DE computer shop, these whistleblowers stated that local FBI leadership told employees, ‘You will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop’ and that the FBI is ‘not going to change the outcome of the election again.’

“While I understand your hesitation to investigate a matter that may be related to an ongoing investigation, it is clear to me based on numerous credible whistleblower disclosures that the FBI cannot be trusted with the handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop.”

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and Wray he accused Thibault of “improper conduct,” arguing he tried to shut down the Biden investigation.

Grassley wrote: “As you are aware, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Tim Thibault is not the only politically biased FBI agent at the Washington Field Office.”

The news that Thibault had retired caused an explosive reaction from conservative figures on social media.

Taking to his Truth Social website Donald Trump said the agent had been “hiding and suppressing from the Public and the Media” the “Laptop from Hell,” ahead of the 2020 election.

He also claimed Thibault “got the FBI to do a raid on a home, Mar-a-Lago, that has ‘stirred’ the world.”

However, Fox news reports Thibault was not involved in the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, on August 8, “at any level.”

Charlie Kirk, founder of conservative group Turning Point USA, joined the Republican outrage tweeting: “Tim Thibault, the Anti-Trump Activist FBI special agent who opened Trump investigation was reportedly escorted out of Bureau headquarters on Friday.

“He was a 25-year veteran of the force with reported ties to the Clintons & Obamas. What’s going on in DC?”

On Thursday Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook’s parent company Meta, was challenged over his company’s handling of the controversy during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Facebook had restricted the story’s spread, following a disinformation warning from the FBI.

Zuckerberg said: “Yeah, it sucks. It turned out, after the fact, the fact-checkers looked into it. No one was able to say it was false.

“I think it sucks, though, in the same way that probably having to go through a criminal trial but being proven innocent in the end sucks.”…..
