Grammy award winner, Burna Boy has intimated that Nigerians are hypocritical about the issue of the legalization of marijuana better known as ‘weed’ in Nigeria.
Nigerian remains one of the countries on the continent that has banned the legalization of Marijuana due to some reasons.
Burna Boy in a recent chat with Home Grown Radio in Los Angeles, posited that most people smoke weed in Nigeria but they hide in the shadows when they smoke. Burna is mostly seen in videos and photos shared on his Instagram page flaunting his roll of weed in his hands unapologetically.

He averred that most people have been fed with some misconceptions about the uses of marijuana that it looks devilish in the eyes of some people.
He was quizzed about the legalization of marijuana and this is what he said: “It’s not a zero- tolerance. It’s like everybody does it, but no one wants to be the one that is seen talking about it. It’s just kind of hypocritical out there.
“They try to make it seem like if you smoke weed you’ll just go mad in Nigeria. Everybody smokes it,it’s just a topic no one wants to talk about,”
“No one wants to talk about it; everybody is cool. Nobody wants to make it a thing to advocate for legalization of weed,”
He added that he comes to Los Angeles to have a taste of the weed they serve in the as it is one of the states that has legalised marijuana and they offer one of the best joints you can get in America.
