After top American celebrities were seen dancing and jamming to the tune, it was quite obvious that it will soon get to the mainstream charts, however, this milestone comes as a surprise.

Top celebrities like Justin Bieber, Ciara, and husband Russell Wilson have been seen jamming hard to the song with passion. ‘Essence’ was released as part of the songs on the ‘Made In Lagos’ album; the album which has gradually become the most-streamed African album on Spotify, slightly surpassing Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ album.

Tems’ verse on ‘Essence’ which is the chorus, has been the most played part of the song because of its easy-sing-along nature. The popularity of the song once made her debut the number one spot on Billboard Next Big Sound Chart of the week.
