Gay Activist Bisi Alimi has advised that one shouldn’t let Nigerians who can’t even light their own candles dim theirs as he asks a gay in the closet to shine like others.
Interacting with fans on Instagram about how they feel, a gay in his closet disclosed that he is sad because he’s a closeted effeminate gay man in Nigeria and Bisi Alimi has advised him to shine bright because he’s a diamond.
According to him, he’s more than an effeminate gay man as he’s a star that needs to shine brightly hence he shouldn’t let Nigeria and Nigerians who can’t even light their own candles dim his but rather shine since he’s a diamond.

Bisi Alimi then encouraged the guy telling him there’s nothing for him to be sad about because he’s more than an effeminate gay man and he’s a star so he must shine brightly and not let Nigeria or Nigerians dim his candlelight.
It’s such a piece of good advice from Bisi Alimi to someone who feels inferior because of his sexuality but he seems to be forgetting that the culture and values of Nigeria will never give him the chance to shine brightly as he wants no matter how hard he tries.
