Dammy Krane calls out Davido over refusal to pay him for co-writing song

Nigerian singer-songwriter, Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane, has called out top Afrobeats singer, Davido over alleged owed debt.

He claimed that Davido refused to pay him for co-writing his 2017 hit song, Pere featuring American rappers, Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug.

Dammy Krane took to his Twitter account and tagged OBO, saying that he did not want to resort to calling him out online but he was left with no choice because all he didn’t get any response despite private appeals.

He also shared a screenshot of Davido’s tweet from 2017, where he revealed that Dammy was among the songwriters.

”Shoutout @dammy_krane !! Co wrote the hook on PERE with me!!” the DMW boss tweeted.

He further asked the ‘FIA’ hit maker to send him the money that’s due him for co-writing Pere.

Dammy wrote; ‘‘My Blooda @davido Run the check ? I don reach out to people over the years based on split sheet & outstanding, No response , we no gats Dey get this convo here ??”

In other news, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has affirmed that he and rap star, Olamide deserve National Honours.

He made his sentiments known in a post on his Instagram page by reposting a post from a fan who advocated for them to be honoured for their contribution to the society.

According to him, both artistes have single-handedly created stars that have remained relevant even without having Godfathers.

Davido further agreed that they have made many people in the entertainment industry to become millionaires which are the reasons they believe the national honour is deserved.

The DMW boss called on the whoever wins the presidential election in 2023 to give acknowledge them the necesary accolades.

The post reads; ”Davido and Olamide deserve national honours. Only the two of them have singlehandedly created ‘sustained stars’ without Godfather help and have made many millionaires.”

Davido added; ”Next president gotta fixup @olamide”
