Nigerian pop singer, Olawale Ashimi, professionally known as Brymo, has opened up on the reasons he left Chocolate City.

Brymo said that the record label gave him a jacked American contract which is not applicable in the Nigerian music market.

The musician made the claim in an interview on Echo Room, adding that Chocolate City was in constant breach of the contract he was given to sign.

According to the Good Morning crooner, the label did not advance financial funding for the recording of his debut album, Son of a carpenter.

He said that he had to go round Lagos himself and source for producers to work for free on the project with the promise to pay later.

Brymo further stated that despite everything he did for his employers, when he requested royalties, they told him that he was the one owing them.
