Cardi B Wins $1 Million Defamation Suit Against Gossip Blogger Tasha K

American rapper and songwriter, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known professionally as Cardi B has won a suit against blogger and Youtuber Latasha Kebe for defamation.

The jury on the 24th of January concluded the trial which got Cardi B testified that she had experienced extreme anxiety, depression, and also suicidal ideation due to the claims Kebe also known as Tasha made.

Tasha was sued by Cardi B in 2019 after she shared several videos with wild allegations among which the rapper was seen being intimate with a beer bottle on stage when she was working as a stripper.

Tasha also made claims that Cardi B, the rapper was a prostitute, was addicted to hard drugs, was also unfaithful to her husband Offset, and also contracted herpes. Testifying in court, Cardi B disclosed that the claims made by Tasha made her suicidal.

“I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband. I lost weight, had migraines, and was always anxious. Only an evil person could do that shit,” Cardi B told the court last week during the trial.

Cardi B also disclosed that some of the fans of Tasha online harassed her over pictures of her kissing her daughter Kulture on the lips and called her ‘herpes B’.

The accused Tasha however admitted in court that she had knowingly published lies about the rapper but made an attempt to calm storms when her lawyers examined her. The court charged Tasha with defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. They allotted $1 million for general damages and $250,000 for medical expenses.
