Femi Otedola, a businessman and philanthropist, shared his prayers on Tuesday for Bola Tinubu to fulfill his dream of becoming president of Nigeria in the 2023 election.
Among the front-runners hoping to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari after the election next year are Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Femi Otedola in a tweet stated that it’s always a great moment to spend time with Tinubu. He wrote;
I am always excited visiting my Great Friend Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu
@officialABAT May God grant him his heart’s desire in becoming the President of this great Nation …F.Ote
It seems his declaration didn’t sit well with netizens on the microblogging platform. They took to the comment section of his post to advice him to desist from politics or advise his friend to withdraw from the presidential race.
Nnaemeka wrote; He won’t be the president of this great nation. Femi,don’t put yourself on a harms way,you’re not a politician, your philanthropic value is well appreciated.Please, don’t pray for the backwardness of this country by insinuating BAT to be president. We pray for his speedy recovery
Chief Dozzy had this to say: If he’s your very good friend, you should Advice him to quit is ambition.
Isaac Godwin commented; Otedola, no let thunder fire you ooo. Instead of you to advice the old sick man to rest, you’re coming out here to tweet senselessly. Anyways i no blame you, nah me dey follow you
