The 2023 edition of the Big Brother franchise in Africa titled Big Brother Titans, will hold in South Africa.

This was announced via a Twitter Space hosted by Big Brother Mzansi on Tuesday, 18th of October, 2022.

The season will introduce a new dimension that would see Nigerian and South Africans living together as housemates at the Big Brother house in South Africa.

Organisers of the show had announced the commencement of auditions few weeks ago but it said during the Tuesday night Twitter Space that interested applicants only have until this Saturday, October 22 to upload their 2 minutes video if they plan on auditioning.

Next year, Big Brother Titans will replace Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi, which both held their seventh and sixth seasons respectively, in 2022.

Meanwhile, Ceo of Multichoice Nigeria, John Ugbe who spoke at the MultiChoice Media Showcase event in Lagos on Thursday, September 15, 2022, described it as a special edition which is like a combination of Afrobeats and Amapiano.

He explained that they wish to explore the love-hate relationship between Nigeria and South Africa and the season 8 would be ‘explosive’.

Ugbe added that the reality TV, which will be the most exciting season, will be happening “sometime next year”.
