BBNaija winner, Efe announces name change

Winner of Big Brother Naija 2017, Efe Money has announced that he’s changed his stage name to Stubborn Boy.

He took to his Instagram page to ask fans to henceforth stop calling him Efe or Efe Money as he would no longer be going by those names.

The rapper said shared a video which of him saying that anywhere people see him they should simply address him as Stubborn Boy.

Efe wrote in the caption; ”PSA: henceforth pls address me as STUBBORN BOY… thank you.”

Similarly, months ago, Hip-Hop star, Jude Abaga, professionally known as MI Abaga announced that he was changing his stage name ahead of his new album.

The award-winning rapper took to his official Instagram page to make the revelation on July 7th, 2022.

Though the former Chocolate City boss did not disclose the new name at the time, he stated that he plans to drop his 15-year-old stage name because his upcoming album deserves to be released under a new nomenclature.

“After over 15 Years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’ and taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name.

“My final act as MI will be a performance at The Vibe on the 10th of July, where I will celebrate my legacy as Africa’s Greatest Rapper. See you all on stage,” he wrote.

Weeks later, he gave an update, saying that his new name is ‘The Guy.’

The singer wrote: “Prepare to meet The Guy. August 19th, 2022. #TheGuyIsComing #TheGuyAlbum.”

The announcement came shortly before the release of his album, The Guy and after he dropped the collaborative album project with A-Q, Blaqbonez titled, The Lamb is Back.
