He presented the motion, calling on the federal government to combat banditry in his constituency, which he claims is close to where the airpower are stationed. He mentioned this while moving a resolution in plenary.

Bandits have been attacking communities in Babanna and Malale wards in Borgu Local Government Areas, along with areas of Wawa, Shagunu, and Pissa/Kabe Wards in Borgu Local Government Areas, and Mago town in Agwara Local Government on a regular basis, according to Muhammed.

To defend lives and national assets, he encouraged the Federal Government to send enough military personnel to the 221 and 101 battalions in Wawa, as well as the 407 Air Weapon Training School in New Bussa.

He said, “Nigeria’s Super Tucano Fighter Jets, which are being kept at the 407 Air Weapon Training School, New Bussa, are exposed to the risk of getting destroyed, given its proximity to the location of bandits at the Kainji National Park in the Borgu Game reserve.

“The Correctional Centre situated in 221 and 101 battalions and has some insurgents incarcerated therein poses great risk to public safety, lives and properties in the areas within the Constituency.”

The motion was accepted by the house and passed.

The Super Tucano jets were purchased by the Federal Government from the United States to help in the fight against insecurity.
