Former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has commiserated with the family of the late paramount ruler of the Jukun race and the Chairman of Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers, Dr Shekarau Angyu.

Since the death of Dr Shekarau Angyu made rounds on social media, thousands of prominent Nigerians have taken to various social media platforms to mourn the tragic death that has left a gaping hole in the heart of his people.

Atiku described the late Dr. Shekarau Angyu as a man who lived for his people and gave his all for their service regardless of his own situation.

Atiku wrote: I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the people of the Jukun race, the traditional institution and the people and government of Taraba State. May his soul rest in peace.

The late paramount ruler of the Jukun race and Chairman, Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers, the Aku Uka of Wukari, Dr Shekarau Angyu, was a leader of marked distinction.
