‘Aside From Music, I Work As A Physician Assistant’ – Philipa Baafi

Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Philipa Baafi has revealed that she does not only depend on music.

According to her, aside from music, she also works as a physician assistant and this is something most Ghanaians are not aware of.

She made this known in a recent interview she had with the popular Ghanaian radio personality, Kweku Bempong Burundy on Oman FM.

She once stated that her childhood dream was to become a medical doctor, however, that took a nose dive very early in her life when she lost both parents.

In her submission in the interview, she stated that she will still further her education to make her dream come true.

She was born in Kumasi on May 15, 1980, and she is the first of three children. Her parents are Ms. Grace Acheampong who was a trader, and Mr. Akwasi Baafi who was domiciled in Germany,

She started school at the Kings International School, before continuing at St Monica’s, where she was the Girls’ Prefect, the President of the Scripture Union, and the Science Club.

As one of Ghana’s renowned gospel musicians, she released her maiden album dubbed Nyame Honhon Sane in the year, 1999 just after she had completed Senior Secondary School.

She dropped another album in the year 2002, and this time the title of the album is Mogya Nakasa, before following it up with Okyeso Nyame, in February 2004.
